I’m writing to share some wonderful news and to express our continued commitment to serving our Whittlesey community. Last night, our very own More Muzic Community Radio was honored with the Teamwork Award at the Fenland Business Awards in March! We were absolutely thrilled and humbled by this recognition, and it truly reflects the dedication and passion of our entire team.
As you all know, we strive to be more than just a radio station. We’re a vital part of the fabric of Whittlesey, and we take our role in supporting our community very seriously. Throughout the year, we’re dedicated to bringing people together through a variety of initiatives:
• We fill our beautiful local churches with music through our community concerts, creating moments of shared joy and connection.
• We shine a light on our town’s rich history and vibrant present by arranging and promoting film shows that celebrate our local communities.
• Our Armed Forces weekend, which has grown into a cherished four-day event, honours our veterans and brings our community together with live entertainment, living history displays, stalls, and marching bands.
This year, we’re especially honoured to be working alongside St. Mary’s Church, the local Army Cadets, and the Royal British Legion to organise a very special Remembrance service on Friday, November 7th. It will be a deeply moving tribute to the fallen, featuring classic singers, entertainers, and a magnificent 50-piece choir. We are working hard to make this a very memorable event.
I’m truly excited to share the full lineup with you at next month’s council meeting, where I’ll be able to provide more details about this important event.
Thank you for your ongoing support of More Muzic Community Radio. We are proud to be a part of Whittlesey and are committed to serving our community with passion and dedication.
Warmly,
Matt Page
