Fenland Bus Show 2027

The Fenland Bus Show Returns to Whittlesey for 2027

Sunday 23rd May 2027 promises to be a fantastic day out for all the family as the Fenland Bus Show makes its welcome return to Whittlesey Town Centre.

Following the tremendous success of last year’s event, More Muzic Community Radio CIC is delighted to announce the return of one of the region’s most popular transport celebrations, bringing together an impressive collection of vintage, classic and modern buses from across the country.

After the original organising arrangements for the 2027 event were unable to continue, More Muzic Community Radio CIC was approached by a number of local councillors who were keen to see the Fenland Bus Show return under the station’s leadership. Following a series of positive discussions, the station agreed to take the event back on and is delighted to have the full support of those councillors in bringing the show back to Whittlesey.

The event will transform Whittlesey into a celebration of transport heritage, with visitors able to admire beautifully restored buses, chat with their owners and discover the fascinating history behind these iconic vehicles.

A highlight of the day will once again be the opportunity to enjoy free heritage bus rides around Whittlesey and the surrounding Fenland villages, allowing visitors to experience travelling on some of Britain’s most cherished buses.

There will also be a wide variety of attractions throughout the town centre, including:

  • An impressive display of classic, preserved and modern buses.
  • Free heritage bus rides throughout the day.
  • Trade stands and transport memorabilia.
  • Charity and community organisation displays.
  • Family entertainment.
  • Refreshments available from local businesses.
  • A special classic transport film show.
  • Opportunities to meet bus owners and preservation groups.

The Fenland Bus Show has quickly established itself as one of the highlights of the local events calendar, attracting enthusiasts, families and visitors from across the East of England while bringing valuable trade into Whittlesey’s town centre.

Matt Page, Director of More Muzic Community Radio CIC, said:

“When we were approached by local councillors and asked if we would bring the Bus Show back, we didn’t hesitate. This event means a great deal to the people of Whittlesey and the wider Fenland community. We’re grateful for the confidence they have placed in us and for the support they are giving us to ensure the 2027 show is the biggest and best yet. We look forward to welcoming thousands of visitors for what promises to be another fantastic community event.”

Admission to the event is completely free, making it an affordable family day out for all ages.

The organisers would also like to thank the volunteers, vehicle owners, local businesses, community groups and supporters whose enthusiasm continues to make the event possible.

Whether you’re a lifelong bus enthusiast, a lover of local history, or simply looking for a great free family day out, the Fenland Bus Show offers something for everyone.
