Magpas Air Ambulance
Based at Alconbury Weald, Cambridgeshire
Magpas Air Ambulance is a registered charity that operates emergency medical service in the East of England.
Founded in 1971, the charity operates a helicopter and three rapid response vehicles from its base in Huntingdon.
Whittlesey Community Car Scheme
Provides door-to-door volunteer transport for residents in Whittlesey, Eastrea, Coates, Turves & Pondersbridge
Who lack access to a car or public transport as example for hospital, GP & dental appointments.
Cambridgeshire Acre – Coates Community Living Room,
“Chill & Chat” coffee morning in Coates takes place every Monday from 10:00am-12:00pm at Coates Public Hall.
These free weekly drop-in sessions offer complimentary hot drinks, snacks, activities, and a friendly space for local community connection.
Cambridgeshire Acre – Pride in Turves
New community group – Plant up key areas of the village, cut back overgrown grass, trim hedges, and tackle the brambles, creating quite rest spots, hopefully with bench seating benches,
Turves Village sign, and keeping the war memorial tidy throughout the year.
